📱 The short version:
Your journal entries, photos, and personal data stay on your phone. We don't upload them anywhere. We only collect anonymous usage data to fix bugs and improve the app.
What We Collect
On your device (never leaves your phone):
- Your skincare journal entries and photos
- Products you track
- Your nickname and birthday
- Skin type and concerns you log
Anonymous analytics (to help us improve Era):
- Which features you use (like taking photos or rating your mood)
- How often you use the app
- Crash reports
- Device type and OS version
For subscriptions (if you purchase Pro):
- Your subscription status (managed by RevenueCat, an Apple-approved service)
- Purchase confirmation from Apple
What We DON'T Collect
- ❌ Your journal entries or photos (they never leave your phone)
- ❌ Your name or email (unless you contact us)
- ❌ Your exact location
- ❌ Any data for advertising
Third Parties
We use two trusted services that process data on our behalf:
- PostHog - Anonymous analytics to understand app usage and fix crashes. Their privacy policy →
- RevenueCat - Processes Pro subscription purchases. Only sees your subscription status, not your journal. Their privacy policy →
Your Control
- Export your data anytime from settings
- Delete everything by uninstalling the app (or delete entries one by one)
- Opt out of analytics in app settings
